Flavours from Argentina

Culinary week

For the first time, Argentina will present its culinary heritage during a special week, including a variety of gastronomical events in restaurants all over the country.

From December 13th to 19th, typical Argentinian restaurants - or with Argentinian chefs - will be offering different options: celebration of an Argentinian night with parallel cultural activities, promotional menus during the week and the launching of new dishes and products. The Culinary Week will be affordable for all budgets, with the aim of bringing our cuisine to everyone.

Empanadas, alfajores and dulce de leche are already well known products in the region, and in some cases, have also become part of the local diet and food culture. Argentine wines, with an excellent quality and growing international recognition, are also increasingly appreciated and locally consumed.

The Argentinian cuisine is more than just asado. With a combination of deep flavors, rich aromas, colorful ingredients, Argentina cuisine has its origin in the fusion of food traditions from Native Americans with those provided by immigration coming from all around the world.

Over the coming weeks we will be presenting the various participating restaurants and the schedule of activities of this initiative, coordinated and promoted by the Argentine Embassy.
